Syncopate is a small independent clothing brand based in Cambridgeshire, created by me \u2014 an illustrator with a habit of turning the things I love into things I want to wear.<\/p>
Every Syncopate design starts with an original illustration. No stock artwork. No chasing whatever happens to be trending this week. Just drawings dreamed up here and eventually put onto very nice clothes.<\/p>
I wanted to make clothing that felt a little different, without becoming the sort of thing you'd wear once and wonder what on earth you were thinking six months later.<\/p>

Why Syncopate exists.<\/h2>
I wanted to buy less, but better clothing. Things I genuinely loved. Things that felt like me. Things I'd still want to pull out of the wardrobe years later rather than throw away after a season.<\/p>
So I started making them.<\/p>
That also means trying not to make mountains of clothing nobody asked for. Every design begins as an illustration rather than something pulled from a catalogue.<\/p>Better basics.<\/strong>
The artwork deserves a decent canvas, so our designs are printed on organic cotton garments designed to be worn again and again.<\/p>Made when you want it.<\/strong>
Your clothing is printed to order rather than sitting around in piles waiting to be bought.<\/p>A bit off beat.<\/strong>
Bugs. Plants. Strange creatures. Tiny details. Whatever has wandered into my brain lately. Syncopate isn't particularly interested in looking like everybody else.<\/p><\/p>
From my sketchbook to your wardrobe.<\/h2>
I draw the artwork here in Cambridgeshire. Once a design is finished, it's printed to order onto your chosen garment by our production partner, Teemill.<\/p>
That means I can concentrate on making strange little drawings while they handle the clever business of turning them into properly printed clothing and getting your order to you.<\/p>
No warehouse full of forgotten T-shirts. Just original artwork, printed when somebody actually wants to wear it.<\/strong><\/p>
